Tired All of the Time? Find
Your Never-Ending Energy Source
Does this describe your
life?
You come home from work –
tired and stressed. The house is a mess. You plop down your bag of fast
food and clear yourself a place to sit down in front of the TV and proceed
to mindlessly stare at the screen and eat the ‘food’ without a thought.
That’s the pattern for most
people.
You think that you’re tired
from too much work, when in reality- you’re tired from that habitual
pattern you’ve developed. Let’s take a closer look –
Foods high in fat take a
lot of energy for your body to digest. All available resources are sent to
the digestion system. So you feel sluggish.
There were few if any
nutrients in the food you ate, so the workers (your body parts) are
running with no fuel. Healthy cells are not being replenished. Invader
cells are poised and ready to take over as soon as the healthy cells are
too weak to fight.
Because you are not moving
and getting some exercise to help deliver oxygen to those overworked body
parts – they’re struggling.
Since there’s nothing in
the piles worth keeping, your body will work to try and move the garbage
out – but there’s too much. Kind of like the snow we had this last winter
in the northern hemisphere. There was no place to go with it, so the piles
continued to get bigger and bigger.
But without heat (exercise
& nutrition) to help melt it (fat) – it will continue to sit there and
grow.
Since all available
resources are being used to deal with the fat and sugar overloads, your
other body functions will start to suffer. You might notice that you
aren’t thinking very clearly, or that you’re having a little more trouble
breathing, or that your eyesight is getting worse, or that you’re feeling
depressed.
Most people just shrug and
attribute it to just getting older. It’s all just a natural flow of
things, right?
Don’t buy it!
Fix a great tasting fresh
meal in 20 – 30 minutes. Then take your time and enjoy it. Then go take a
walk, or walk the dog, or play with your kids, or clean the house. Just
get moving for a little while. Try it for a week and see if you don’t have
a ton more energy! Yes, you’ll have to force yourself in the beginning.
You’ll also notice that
you’re thinking better, you’re skin is looking better, you’re sleeping
better, and you’re not as depressed. Hmmmm.
And did you know - the same healthy diet that will help you
lose weight will also help you prevent heart disease, type II diabetes,
and cancer, and will keep you young, vibrant and full of energy far longer
than your peers.
What
happens to your car when you don't give it the right fuels? It breaks
down, right?.
The same thing happens to your body.
But now
you're stammering….
L
I don't know what to eat
L
I don't know how to cook real food
L
I don't have time to cook real food
L
I get bored when I try to plan healthy meals
L
My family doesn't like healthy food
Really? How
about savoring some of these delicious healthy dinners -
Juicy,
flavorful, sizzling steak - cool crisp lettuce topped with Craisins,
walnuts, and a red wine vinaigrette dressing, a baked potato, and some
fresh sweet canteloupe. Takes about 15 minutes to prepare for 2. 20 or so
minutes for 4.
Chicken teriyaki, coconut pineapple rice, fresh
green beans steamed just right and lightly coated with just the right
amount of butter, and topped off with some fresh juicy pineapple. Takes
about 20 minutes to get it on the table.
Pasta with a pesto-basil
tomato sauce - prepared fresh, a cool crisp lettuce topped with juicy
tomatoes, a bit of onion for a little bite, and a tart Italian dressing
and fresh ground black pepper, with some French bread served with olive
oil and parmesan cheese for dipping, and some fresh sweet strawberries.
Takes about 35 minutes to get it to the table.
A pork chop,
delicately seasoned with garlic and Italian seasoning, a baked sweet
potato, glazed baby carrots, and a sweet crunchy broccoli salad. If you
make the broccoli salad the night before, this dinner takes about 15 - 20
minutes.
Should I keep going? OK …
Chicken wraps with
refried beans, cheese, cool crisp lettuce, and juicy tomatoes, with black
olives for fun, and sweet cool watermelon.

Why would you
listen to me?
Good question. Well, I'm going on 52 years young.
I've never been hospitalized except for childbirth. I'm rarely sick. I
take no medications. I'm a size 4. I don't follow any special
diet.
I did get up to a size 12 once, and had high blood pressure.
I was disgusted with my body, and a little freaked out to have such high
blood pressure in my early 30s. Can you relate?
Did I take drugs
for high blood pressure? Nope.
Did I go on a special diet? Nope.
I just started eating right - well - mostly. But that's good
enough. You'll see. You don't have to be a saint, or follow the health
police icky recommendations. That's not fun.
Most
people my age are already taking prescription drugs that they’ll be on for
the rest of their lives - yet - I run
circles around my 16 years old daughter.
I know I don't always 'feel' like cooking
when I get home. But the thought of eating that packaged garbage really
turns me off - and I don't want to 'feel' like garbage when I'm through
eating. And it's not any faster. It's all just commercial brainwashing.
Pay attention to how long it really takes the next time you make one of
those packaged meals. Then ask yourself -Why?
Why are you eating food that
tastes bad, is bad for you, and isn't any faster to
prepare?
Think about it.
You treat your car, your house, your pets, and your
friends better than you treat your body. Isn't that crazy?
Without
a healthy body - nothing else really matter much, does it?
Isn't
it time you started enjoying a higher quality of life?
J
Eat better food - better for you AND better tasting
J
Be sick less
J
Have more energy
J
And look great!

diet, or counting calories or points, or starving yourself or any of that
other unhealthy stuff that no one can keep up with for long.
This is about eating healthy for life.
No
more diets - OK?
