Finding the Fountain of Youth - Don't Look Old Before Your Time

How well you treat your body shows in your face – and there’s no amount of beauty products that will change that.

 

Oh sure, you can get botox. How crazy is that? Inject yourself with poison that actually paralyzes your facial muscles.

 

Or, you can wait until it’s bad enough that you consider going under the knife and getting cosmetic surgery. And what happens if they mess up?

 

Or, you can take the easy route.

 

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Fruits especially for your skin. Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants which are probably the most important thing for keeping your face young. Fruits have a chemical called pectin which is also essential in building your skin.

 

Drink juice – I drink a glass of orange juice, and a glass of cranberry juice everyday just as an extra boost to keep my skin looking younger and keep my immune system stronger. 

 

Green tea is a wonder. Not only does drinking it give you the benefits of antioxidants, but if you pat the tea bag on your face (after it’s cooled of course), it tightens your skin. And green tea has a calming effect too – great for your mood.

 

Get enough sleep. When you’re sleeping, your body is busy at work repairing itself. Make sure you give it enough time to do the job right!

 

Exercise helps keep you blood flowing to all of your important parts. It helps deliver oxygen. It helps you burn fat and build muscle instead. It helps you keep your weight under control. It doesn’t have to be at the gym. There are plenty of ways you can get more movement into your life – take a walk, walk the dog, play with your kids, garden, clean the house, golf – just get moving! You're skin will have that healthy glow you've been wanting.

 

Take your vitamins! It's nearly impossible to get all of the nutrients you need from food alone. You've have to be a saint. Take supplements to insure you're getting all of the nutrients you need.

 

Use age appropriate skin care. Don’t use things that are drying. Once you’ve starting eating more fruits and vegetables, you’ll find that your skin problems start to fade away.

 

Use a daily moisturizer, and a soothing eye cream or gel. Even if you’re young – start now. Take care of that skin. It’s what you have to show people everyday.
